Bangkok, capital of Thailand and one of Asia's most dynamic cities, is the heart and soul of the country. This frantic and steamy tropical city offers surprises at every turn. Gleaming skyscrapers, glittering temples, colourful street markets, sophisticated shopping malls, bustling nightlife, and a vibrancy which reflects the incredible economic growth of the last few years.
A booming, modern capital, Bangkok still manages to retain its unique Siamese heritage in the wonderful food, culture, exotic architecture, Buddhist tolerance and Thai hospitality. The new "Skytrain" a symbol of Bangkok's rapid development, provides not only a convenient way to get around the main areas, but also some great views over a capital in constant change.
No longer the "Venice of the East" nor the city of Angels, Bangkok is, without doubt, one of the most exciting cities in the world. A trip to Thailand would not be complete without at least one visit....

Pattaya, a former fishing village and favourite haunt of American GI's during the 1960's, has come a long way in the last few years. While still retaining an element of unrestrained hedonism, the old and outdated image of girly-bars and raucous nightlife, is changing.
Families, groups and business travellers are being lured with with extensive sports facilities, daytrips, island tours, wildlife and amusement parks, offbeat museums and lush botanical gardens, providing a variety of leisure attractions and entertainment for everyone.

Discover Koh Samui - New Honeymooners Delight |

Koh Samui - "the island of the coconut tree" is Thailand's 3rd largest. Now, a very popular destination with Indians. Koh Samui was a backpacker's secret for years, this sun lover's paradise, with its coconut plantations, rolling hills, curved sandy beaches and offshore islands, has gradually developed into a holiday destination with a distinctly local island flavour.
Samui is a place to relax, meet people, sunbathe and party. Nightlife is good with open-air discos, music bars and good restaurants. The island retains its laid back feel, with friendly and welcoming locals, good food and offbeat local attractions which haven't become over commercialised.
Modest bungalows or resort, close to the action or peaceful retreat, Samui has a range of accommodation to suit everyone, with many places located near or actually on the beach.

Phuket's appeal lies in the beauty of the island, and the variety of relatively inexpensive activities on offer. Thailand's largest island has wonderful food, vibrant nightlife, an excellent range of accommodation and great beaches, but there's a lot more to do besides sunbathe!
Diving, fishing, eco-adventure tours in the forests, touring the amazing area around Phang Nga Bay, trips to the outlying islands and elephant trekking are just a few......

Scenic mountain beauty, adventure activities, ethnic hilltribes, historic temples, and distinctive culture characterise Chiang Mai. Located 700 miles north of Bangkok, the province was once part of the independent Lanna Thai Kingdom, (literally translated as "the Kingdom of a Million Ricefields") which ruled northern Thailandfrom the 13th - 16th century.
Chiang Mai city, the former capital founded in 1296, flourished as a major religious, cultural and trading centre until the Burmese invaded in 1556. The legacy left by Lanna can still be seen in the temples, sculptures and city walls, which remain today.
Chiang Mai's location - close to the borders of China, Laos and Burma, has created a unique cultural mix - a result of migrations of different groups united under the Lanna Thai. The dialect, customs, festivals, architectural traditions, handicrafts, dances and cuisine as distinct from the rest of Thailand. Ethnic hilltribes also lend character and colour, reflected in the costumes, music and crafts of the tribal groups living the hills and valleys of this region. The relatively low cost of excellent accommodation, mouthwatering food, the opportunity to visit exotic hilltribes, the golf courses, and well-groomed hideaways, as well as the breathtaking natural beauty make it an ideal destination. |

Classic beaches fringed with towering limestone formations, is an understatement to describe this stunningly beautiful area of Thailand.
A coastline dotted with gorgeous tropical islands, palm fringed beaches and coral reefs. An interior with jungle, waterfalls, mysterious caves, hidden lagoons and strange rock formations, just 800 kilometres south of Bangkok. |
